Dear CRES Community,

This past week, we hosted our final PTA meeting of the year, and we would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to our PTA board and all of our dedicated volunteers. Your tireless efforts and unwavering support have made a significant impact on our school community, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do!

This year, our PTA has gone above and beyond in organizing numerous events and activities that have enriched our students' educational experiences. From fun-filled BINGO nights to important fundraising initiatives, your contributions have helped us create a vibrant and engaging environment for our children. Thank you for your hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment to making Centre Ridge a fantastic place for our students to learn and grow.

We look forward to welcoming new volunteers and continuing to build a strong, vibrant school community in the 2024-2025 school year! Be on the lookout for more information about how you can get involved at CRES!

Warmly,

Dr. Hertzberg, Ms. Wu, Ms. Baugh, Ms. Helmer, and Ms. Ford

TECH + VALUES

Tech Value Sort

Last week, we shared information regarding "Screen Free Week." This week, we would like to continue the conversation, helping families reimagine technology habits in their home for the long-term. We want our families to find ways to talk about technology that value all voices and thinking in their homes.

Recently, Project Zero embarked on a new research and innovation initiative: The Center for Digital Thriving. They believe that conversations about technology and well-being actually don’t begin with tech at all. Instead, they start with who we are, what we value, and what we are experiencing in our lives. Start exploring how technologies support or hinder what you most cherish.

Want to begin this conversation in your home? Please click here for a resource that will allow you to sort your values individually or as a family. There is also a paper-based option so that you can continue to revisit your discussion.

The Values Voting activity, which can be used after the Values Sort or as a standalone activity, is an engaging way to spark group discussions about how our values connect to tech.
