Miss Mac Award Nominations Now Open

Though Clermont is filled with exceptional teachers and staff, an award was established in 2008 to recognize an employee who has gone above and beyond for our students. The Miss Mac award is named in memory of Clermont kindergarten aide, Ashley McIntosh. The award recognizes a Clermont staff member who exemplifies the values Miss McIntosh brought to her teaching.

All Clermont teachers and staff who have not won The Miss Mac Award in the last 7 years are eligible for this award. The deadline for nominations is Monday, May 20, 2024.

We will evaluate all the submissions and present the award and a check for $500 to the recipient at the final Clermont Elementary staff meeting of the school year!

For more information about the Miss Mac Award, nominee criteria, and to submit your nominations visit the PTA website:  https://clermontpta.membershiptoolkit.com/miss-mac-award

Schools of Excellence Community Feedback Survey

The Clermont PTA knows that a strong partnership among our families, school leaders and community members is important to the success of our students and school. That’s why we are participating in the National PTA School of Excellence program, which grows partnerships between PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being of all students.

At a National PTA School of Excellence, families feel welcomed and empowered to support student success, and PTA is a key partner for continuous school improvement. We feel Clermont Elementary School and Clermont PTA can achieve that together—and the result will be national, state and community-wide visibility for the positive impact we are making together at Clermont Elementary School.

We need your help! As part of the process, National PTA requests feedback from families, administrators and teachers at two points in the school year—the beginning and the end. Your feedback will help us improve our family-school partnership and achieve excellence.

Please take 5-10 minutes to reflect on your experience at this school and complete the linked survey.  Select the option that most accurately expresses how you feel about your experience. This survey is completely anonymous. Please complete this survey by Tuesday May 28, 2024.

Thank you for your continued support and collaboration as we work toward becoming a National PTA School of Excellence!

Community Conversations with Dr. Reid

Dr. Michelle Reid has been hosting Community Conversations and Employee Conversations throughout the division since the fall of this school year. She is committed to getting to know our school communities.

The dates for the final two Community Conversations are below. These events provide a great opportunity for parents and caregivers to connect with Dr. Reid, share concerns and ideas. She is there to listen and answer your questions. Your voice is important.

We invite you to register for one of the last two community conversations of the school year. Please register for a time and place that is convenient for you. Pre-registration is not required, but does help us plan. Childcare and language interpretation services will be provided.

Upcoming Community Conversations:

We look forward to seeing you at one of the last two Superintendent Community Conversations of the year.
