Spring Music Concerts

Our students will be celebrating their hard work with two concerts. Please join in to celebrate your child:

Chorus: Thursday, May 23 at 8:45am  Our chorus will perform at All School Meeting in the gym.

Band & Strings: Friday, May 31 at 2:00pm. Our Grade 4, 5 & 6 students will perform their concert for students and parents in the gym.

Test Results for Parents

Our students have taken a variety of assessments this month. Family score reports for most spring assessments will be centrally distributed to families through SIS ParentVUE, with central mailing ongoing for VKRP assessments. As a school, we  have the responsibility to mail out those results to families without ParentVUE accounts. Please see the timeline for when these assessment results will be delivered.

  • iReady Grade 1-3 - expected in ParentVUE the week of 6/3 (non-ParentVUE delivery by the end of this year)
  • iReady Grade 4-6 - expected in ParentVUE the week of 6/24 (non-ParentVUE delivery before the start of next school year)
  • VKRP Grade PreK-K - expected central delivery via U.S. Mail the week of 7/8

birds

Some of our Grade 4 students have been engaged in an exchange project with students in Nicaragua. In the fall our students shared their research about birds and what school is like in the US. This week they received a package from their exchange students that included research about birds in Nicaragua as well as some crafts.

Get Involved with Your PTO

At Mount Eagle, every parent is a member of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). It's a great way to connect with other parents, learn about how to support your child and to have fun! There are many ways where you can share your voice, talents and time. Check out the PTO Website for more information. It's available in multiple languages.

Parent/Guardian Handbook

Do you have questions about attendance or food/drink at school or what students can wear?  If so, please check out our Parent/Guardian Handbook on our Mount Eagle website. It's available with translations. Click here to access it. Of course, if you have a question about a situation that is not listed, reach out to your child's teacher or an administrator. Their contact information is at the bottom of this newsletter.

Your Partners In Education

We are honored to work with your family this year and will work everyday to ensure a safe and positive learning environment for your child. We can't do it alone. Please contact us when there is a question or concern, especially related to bullying. As a parent, you will often hear about something before staff might. Thank you for all your support.
