Join Us Today for the PTSA General Meeting

The election of next year's PTSA executive board will take place during the in-person meeting TODAY at 6:00pm in the school's Cafeteria. We need your participation at this meeting.

Additionally, we value your input on some budget changes related to supporting school initiatives. As this is your organization, we count on your opinions to ensure the best use of available resources, which come from your generous contributions and membership fees.

Your voice and involvement are crucial to the success of our PTSA. We look forward to seeing you today at the meeting, where together we can shape the future of our organization and support our school community.

 

Webmaster Needed for Next Year

The Communications eNews Team is looking for a Webmaster to support  the PTSA website and social media. Training will be provided for this position. If you are interested, please contact Marie Lee at mlee@mcleanptsa.org to learn more about this position.

The PTSA organizes a weekly Friday Breakfast Station during the year stocked with contributions by fellow McLean HS families. PTSA Appreciates MHS Teachers/Staff and Nurses!  

Last week, the PTSA honored McLean High School's Teachers/Staff during Teacher Appreciation Week and McLean High School's Nurses during School Nurses Week. On behalf of the PTSA, the nurses were presented with monogrammed bags full of goodies. The entire Teachers/Staff were treated to a yummy lunch by Listrani's, MHS lunch bags filled with goodies, new spiritwear and handwritten thank you notes. The PTSA, through the Hospitality Committee, supports staff throughout the year by planning appreciation events such as these gifts and lunch. Thank you to the Nurses, Teachers and entire Staff for all that you do for our school!

AP Testing

AP Testing will take place between May 6-24. Students should arrive at their testing locations by 7:45am for morning AP exams, and by 11:45am for afternoon AP exams. Students must arrange a ride home from school as most afternoon AP exams will conclude between 3:30-4:30PM.

Materials for paper/pencil exams

  • Two #2 pencils and black/dark blue pen
  • A calculator if taking APES, Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Macro, Micro, Physics, Precalculus, or Statistics

Materials for Digital Tests (African Studies, Chinese, CSP, English Lang, English Lit, Seminar, U.S. History, & World History) exams

  • Fully charged FCPS Chromebook and charger
  • College Board login credentials to access Bluebook
  • Two #2 pencils and black/dark blue pen
