Message from Dr. Khoshaba
Dear SoCo Families,
Greetings from the principal’s office! As we head into the final stretch of the school year, I'm bursting with excitement to share some fabulous news and updates with you. Get ready to be wowed – there’s lots to celebrate!
Prom Was a Hit!
Our students danced the night away at prom, and it was an absolute hit! From the stunning outfits to the fantastic music, it was a night to remember. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it a smashing success!
Sports at Jubilee
Our SoCo athletes have been making us proud! A big round of applause for our girls’ soccer team, the Patriot District Champs! They played with heart and hustle, and their victory is well-deserved.
Track and field have been on the fast track to success, with many personal bests and school records being shattered. Keep running strong, team!
Our Softball team also played a very competitive game that night. Of special note was that player Ava Abromavage hit it out of the park – literally! She celebrated her 100th base hit in her high school career. That’s a hit-trick worth cheering for! Way to go, Ava!
Blossom & Bloom: A Fresh Start for South County Garden Club
This past week, our dedicated members of the South County Garden Club rolled up their sleeves and got to work revitalizing our flower gardens by Door 1. With a lot of enthusiasm and teamwork, they cleaned up the beds, pruned the plants, and spread a fresh layer of mulch to prepare for a season of spectacular blooms. Our garden is now ready to flourish, thanks to the hard work and green thumbs of our amazing volunteers. Thank you to all who participated in making our garden a beautiful and welcoming space for the community!
SoCo Crew Makes Waves at the State Regatta!
Last weekend, SoCo “crew”-sed into great results at the 2024 State Crew Regatta. We won one gold medal, four silvers, a third place, a fifth place, and a 6th place. We certainly earned more than our share of place finishes. Way to row, Crew team!
20th Anniversary of SoCo – Let’s Celebrate Together!
Next year marks the 20th anniversary of South County High School, and we’re gearing up for a celebration that will be second to none! We’re looking for enthusiastic community members to join our planning team. Our first meeting is scheduled for June 4 at 1:00 PM. If you’re interested in being part of this milestone event, please RSVP by emailing Michelle Gunderman at mcgunderman@fcps.edu.
