Staff Appreciation Week
This week, we celebrate our incredible staff with our annual Staff Appreciation Week! A huge thank you to the PTA and parent volunteers who planned a fun-filled and delicious week to show our deserving staff just how much we appreciate them. Thanks to Mrs. Bayer and her team of parent volunteers for their time and dedication in organizing this special week, we truly appreciate it.
Parent Input Survey
Each year, parents have the opportunity to share their thoughts on their child's learning environment for the upcoming school year. Since staffing can change over the summer, we don't encourage specific teacher requests. However, your feedback about the ideal learning environment to help your child thrive is very important to us. Chess Tournament
We're thrilled to share the success of our first-ever Chess Tournament at Westbriar! This exciting event was sponsored by our PTA and GMChessPrep. A special shout-out to International Grandmaster Rashad Babaev for initiating this event. We hope this is the beginning of many more chess tournaments to come!
Mr. Babaev shared his thoughts: "The event was a huge success, drawing 33 players from four states, showcasing its appeal and the diversity it brought to our community. Notably, 13 Westbriar students participated, and our K-5 and K-3 teams proudly took first place! This achievement highlights not only the popularity of chess within our school but also the talent and enthusiasm of our students."
School House Chat
Our final School House Chat for the school year is scheduled for Monday, May 20th at 10:00 am in the cafeteria. The topic will focus on the upcoming principal transition. Join us for this final in-person opportunity to chat with Ms. Tam. We look forward to seeing you!
