The Class Assignment Request opportunity closes on Friday, May 24, 2024.

Specialist Spotlight - Art

Mustang artists are finishing the year strong!  Our third graders are starting to learn how to make looms and use various weaving techniques.  Fourth graders are weaving on a double-sided loom to make a pouch.  Fifth grade artists are using various stitchery techniques to make a composition on burlap.  Kindergarten artists have been exploring printing objects and using oil pastels.  First grade artists and multiage artists are finishing up a 3D house sculpture.  Second grade artists have been working on architectural drawings.

The art room would love to have some more Clorox wipes as we are cleaning up things in the coming weeks.   If you have any to spare for art, we would appreciate it!

Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow!

As we approach the end of the school year, it’s important for students to stay engaged, attend school, and finish strong!

  • Regular school attendance in elementary school improves the chances that your child will read on grade level.
  • Chronic absenteeism (missing 18 or more school days per year) is a primary cause of lower academic achievement even when the absences are "excused" or understandable.
  • Students who attend 90% or more of the school year are more likely to graduate from high school on time.
  • Absences can be a sign that a student is losing interest in school, struggling with school work, dealing with peer conflicts or facing some other potentially serious difficulty, and help is available
