Register Today for FCPS Summer Camps

Registration for FCPS Career and Technical Education (CTE) camps and Institute for the Arts (IFTA/E-IFTA) camps closes on Friday, June 7. Tuition is waived for students eligible for free and reduced-price meals. Bus transportation is available from select FCPS high schools and middle schools. Summer Learning Extraviganza

Summer Extravaganza

Stop by Woodson High School on Saturday, June 1, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., for the FCPS Summer Extravaganza! Families are invited to take part in engaging educational activities designed to spark curiosity and inspire growth. In addition to learning activities, enjoy tips and helpful information for families. Enjoy face painting, food, music, a moon bounce, a petting zoo, storytime, and student performances — all at no cost!

 

Visit the Summer Extravaganza webpage for more details and register to attend. Registration is not required, but it's helpful for planning purposes.


Middle School Start Times

Attend a forum to hear about adolescent sleep research from an expert, learn about FCPS’ ongoing middle school start times study, and participate in small group discussions. All forums will deliver the same presentation and provide the same feedback opportunities. Breakout sessions will be held for middle school students to share their voices. Students are encouraged to attend!

While registration is not required, it does help with planning. Language interpretation and childcare will be provided. Learn more about the project exploring middle school start times.


Immunization Clinic

Get your child's immunizations up-to-date!  Open to all FCPS students who need immunizations.  Go to the Fairfax County Health Department to learn more or check out the flyer! (English/Spanish)

We enjoyed celebrating our teachers all week!  Thank you for the many ways you showed them gratitude!


Pre-school Graduation Celebration

Our preschool literacy students and families celebrated their accomplishments in learning their alphabet.  Way to go!

Wonderful learning activities at Brookfield. All of 3rd grade joined a zoom presentation with the National Zoo. Students in music were introduced to Orff instruments.  Kindergarteners created habitats in art class.  And students in kindergarten also learned about the letter B as they played with bubbles.

A whole week of Spirit fun at Lazy Dog Chantilly from May 6-12! This week covers Teacher Appreciation week AND Mother’s Day! Be sure to tell them you’re with Brookfield and they’ll save a copy of your receipt. Order takeout and use the code! They will donate 15% all week!

Awards will be given for each age group, as well as an overall school award.


Reminders

Free Food Giveaway - Fresh Foods and Pantry Staples

The monthly free food distribution held by a community partner will be on Saturday, May 11th 10:00a.m. - 12:00 p.m. while supplies last at Brookfield Elementary School.
