chorus

All County Chorus

Congratulations for a fabulous performance to the sixth grade students who participated in All-County Chorus.  Thank you to Ms. Boyars and Mrs. Zargarpur for their dedicated support of this program.

💪 Let's Finish the School Year Strong!

Student attendance at school is important all year long, up to the last day of school. Attendance has an effect on student performance and on school accreditation. See how to:

  • Check your child’s attendance record.
  • Help your student stay engaged at school.
  • Report future absences.
  • Understand the FCPS school calendar.

Learn more about attendance resources.

Lost and Found

The lost and found is overflowing and will be packed up in the next few days.  Please have your student look for lost jackets and water bottles.

Keene Mill will roll out the red carpet as we celebrate during Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week all of next week (May 6-10). We have fun events and treats planned for our amazing and hardworking KMES teachers and staff. This year our theme is "Hollywood" as we give them the V.I.K. (or Very Important Kanga) treatment!

Links to donate items and volunteer during the week are available on our PTA website: keenemillpta.ptboard.com

Wednesday – Fancy Dress-up Day! Get ready for your Close-Up! Dress in your Best Red Carpet Look!

Thursday – Give a Teacher some Fan Mail! Write a Note or Draw a Picture for your Teacher.

Friday – Show your School Spirit! Wear a Keene Mill Shirt or School Colors (Red & Blue).

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR SPRING CONCERT

Keene Mill's Spring Concert is on Tuesday, May 7 at West Springfield High School. This is a big undertaking by our KMES music instructors and they have asked for help to make the evening run smoothly, especially assistance with directing students to their correct rooms, helping supervise in the rooms, and transitioning groups on and off stage.

Volunteer shifts have been set up to give family members of the group on stage time to see their student(s) perform. If you are able to help, please review the available slots at https://tinyurl.com/KeeneMillSpringConcert to sign up. Thank you!
