Lost & Found

An image of Clermont Lost & Found items.

Clermont's Lost & Found is overflowing! We have accumulated a large number of coats, sweatshirts, and outerwear. The Lost & Found has been temporarily relocated to the front lobby for your convenience. We encourage students and parents/guardians to come check to see if you have any belongings among the lost items. Any items not claimed by next Friday, May 10th, will be donated.

Collection for Families in Need

A cartoon grocery bag holds canned goods.

Clermont is sponsoring a collection to benefit Koinonia. Koinonia is a local organization which distributes food and other items to families in need in our community. Donations are accepted during the month of May. Donations boxes are in the lobby.

Koinonia specifically requested the following items: condiments, salad dressing, dry pasta, cereal (hot and cold), canned tomatoes, mac and cheese, instant potatoes, canned pasta, canned pea, toothpaste, bath soap, shampoo, tissues, paper towels and TP, brownies, cake and cookie mix

Please avoid glass containers.

Please show you C.A.R.E. by helping others in need. Thank you!!!

Chalk Night Cancelled for Sunday May 5th

Unfortunately, due to the rainy forecast our chalk night originally planned for Sunday, May 5th has been cancelled.

We'll be monitoring the weather day by day to find an alternative date for rescheduling.

Last Day for International Festival Registration!

A drawing of people around the earth holding hands.

As a reminder, the PTA is hosting an international festival on Friday, May 17th, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Clermont. It will be a fun and educational experience celebrating the diverse cultural backgrounds that make up our wonderful Clermont Community!

As of Monday, over 120 people have registered to attend the festival. Activities will include:

  • Country display tables: There are currently 10 different countries being represented. For those interested in hosting a table, there are still tables available in the gym (food is not permitted at these tables).
  • Cultural performances: Demonstrations will include a Filipino martial arts performance.
  • Fashion show: There are currently six different countries being represented in the show with over 12 participants.
  • Food: Pizza can be preordered from the Fly Pizza Truck closer to the event date.
  • Dessert: Ice cream can be purchased at the festival from one of our very own Clermont parent’s ice cream truck!

Please visit https://tinyurl.com/yjwhc6bt to sign up for the event, host a country display table, and/or participate in the fashion show. Students must be accompanied by an adult.

We also need parent volunteers. Please consider volunteering for set up, check in, and/or clean up. To volunteer, go to https://tinyurl.com/3bxxm5jp

Miss Mac Award Nominations Now Open

Though Clermont is filled with exceptional teachers and staff, an award was established in 2008 to recognize an employee who has gone above and beyond for our students. The Miss Mac award is named in memory of Clermont kindergarten aide, Ashley McIntosh. The award recognizes a Clermont staff member who exemplifies the values Miss McIntosh brought to her teaching.

All Clermont teachers and staff who have not won The Miss Mac Award in the last 7 years are eligible for this award. The deadline for nominations is Monday, May 20, 2024.

We will evaluate all the submissions and present the award and a check for $500 to the recipient at the final Clermont Elementary staff meeting of the school year!

For more information about the Miss Mac Award, nominee criteria, and to submit your nominations visit the PTA website:  https://clermontpta.membershiptoolkit.com/miss-mac-award
