Dear Sleepy Hollow Families,
As we reflect on the past week, our school community has truly come together to celebrate some significant events and recognize the dedication of our staff members. It's been a time of reflection, appreciation, and awareness, and we're excited to share our highlights with you.
Earth Week: Our commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship was on full display during Earth Week. From engaging classroom discussions to hands-on activities like cleaning up our school grounds, our students demonstrated their dedication to protecting our planet. Thank you for supporting our efforts to instill a love for the Earth in our future generations.
Autism Awareness Week: This week provided a valuable opportunity to raise awareness, promote understanding, and celebrate the unique abilities of individuals with autism. Through classroom discussions, awareness campaigns, and acts of kindness, our school community came together to create an inclusive environment where every individual is valued and supported. Thank you for joining us in fostering empathy, acceptance, and inclusion.
Administrator Assistants Day: On this special day, we took the time to recognize and celebrate the invaluable contributions of our front office staff; Karla Lobo, Ana Maria Menendez, Kecia Honesty and Lisbeth Coto. Whether it's greeting visitors with a warm smile, ensuring smooth daily operations, or offering a helping hand to students and parents, our administrative assistants play a crucial role in keeping our school running smoothly. Join us in expressing our gratitude for their hard work, dedication, and unwavering support the next time you stop into the front office
Teacher Appreciation Week: As we look ahead to Teacher Appreciation Week (May 6 - May 10), we're gearing up to honor the incredible individuals who inspire, educate, and empower our students every day. From early mornings to late nights, our teachers go above and beyond to create engaging learning experiences, foster meaningful connections, and make a positive difference in the lives of our children. Let's come together as a community to show our appreciation and gratitude for their tireless dedication and unwavering commitment to excellence.
We encourage you to join us in celebrating these special occasions and expressing gratitude to all the dedicated individuals who make our school community so special. Together, we can continue to create a supportive and inclusive environment where every individual thrives.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership.

🙋 Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow!
As we approach the end of the school year, it’s important for students to stay engaged, attend school, and finish strong! Visit our website for attendance resources.
🖍️ It’s Kindergarten Registration Time!
Attending kindergarten provides children with an opportunity to learn and practice the essential social, emotional, problem-solving, and self-regulation skills they will use throughout their lives. Eligible children can also be registered throughout the summer, but registering your child early helps us plan, so that we have the teachers and resources needed on the first day of school.
We are happy to support families with registration and the transition to kindergarten. For more information in other languages, visit FCPS’ Kindergarten Registration webpage.
