Dear Students, Staff, and Families of Bull Run Elementary,
It is with a mix of emotions that I write to inform you of my decision to retire from my role as educator in Fairfax County Public Schools and Principal of Bull Run Elementary, effective June 30, 2024. After 25 years serving Fairfax County Public Schools, 8 of those years championing for our wonderful community, the time has come for me to embark on a new chapter in my life.
Reflecting on my time here at Bull Run Elementary, I am filled with immense gratitude for the support, dedication, and warmth that I have experienced from each and every one of you. It has been an honor and privilege to work alongside such talented educators, compassionate staff members, supportive families, and bright, enthusiastic students.
To the students: You have been the heart and soul of our school. Your curiosity, resilience, and creativity have inspired me every single day. It has been a joy to watch you learn and grow, and I have no doubt that each of you will continue to achieve greatness in your future endeavors.
To the staff: Your unwavering commitment to our students' success is truly commendable. Your passion, professionalism, and teamwork have made Bull Run Elementary a place of excellence and innovation. I am grateful for your hard work and dedication, and I am proud to have been part of such a remarkable team.
To the families: Your ongoing support and partnership have been invaluable to me throughout my tenure as Principal. Your involvement in your children's education has made a significant difference in their academic and personal development. Thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of shaping the minds and hearts of your children.
As I bid farewell to Bull Run Elementary, I do so with a deep sense of appreciation and fondness for the memories we have shared together. While I will miss being a part of this vibrant community, I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.
Please know that although I may no longer be physically present at Bull Run Elementary, I will always cherish the relationships we have built, the impact we have made together, and will continue to cheer for your success from afar.
In closing, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for making my time at Bull Run Elementary so rewarding and fulfilling. You have all played a special role in my journey, and I am deeply grateful for your friendship, support, and kindness.
Wishing you all continued success, happiness, and fulfillment in the years to come. The Region 4 Office will be in touch in the coming days with more information about the process to appoint a new principal to Bull Run Elementary.
