EMT students have the opportunity to gain patient contacts at Fair Oaks Hospital ER so they can successfully sit for their NREMT exam in the coming weeks. Thank you to Fair Oaks Hospital staff, to the preceptors Penny Kelly, Anita Van Der Merwe and Colin Flanigan, and to the FCPS Program Manager for Health and Medical Sciences Roberta Pinheiro Janik for these great experiences.
On April 4, Cpl Joseph and Cpl Robinson along with their explosive detection K-9 Bo provided a wonderful demonstration of how Bo detects explosives at the airport and other locations, careers with the MWAA and the training needed to be an officer. Cpl Robinson also shared his experiences as a bicycle patrol officer with WMAA.
Due to construction at Falls Church High School, parking is extremely limited this academic year. Students are greatly encouraged to take the provided shuttles to and from their base school. If students choose to drive to Falls Church Academy for class from their base school, parking passes are in very limited supply and are given on a first come/first serve basis. Students who do drive will need to park at Providence Recreation Center and walk to the high school. The Application for Use of Private Automobile will need to be completed and returned to Ms. Fields in Room 237 before parking can be approved. Falls Church Academy Student Parking Rules, Guidance, Fines and Penalties will apply.
