Woodburn Families,
What a week! The spring concert always brings so much joy. Our student musicians wowed us with all they have learned. They performed their hearts out and we are so proud of them. Thank you, Ms. Davidson, Ms. Hoffman, Ms. McCormick, Ms. Ragona, and Dr. Schultz, for bringing a love of the arts to Woodburn!
Tonight our PTA is hosting its annual Spring Dance. The theme is Glow in the Dark. See you there!
Together We Grow,
Katy & Kelley

We Love Our Office Team!
We are so incredibly grateful for each member of our office team. Ms. Garcia, Ms. Perla, Ms. Lopez, Ms. Fernandez, and Ms. Baker keep all things running smoothly. We could not do what we do without them. Thank you for always going the extra mile and for making us smile and laugh.

We will be adding new plants, painting garden signs, and tidying up the garden beds. You can see how our sensory themed gardens are taking shape and the garlic bulbs are sprouting! Kids and parents are both encouraged to join whether you are a planter or a painter. 🌱

P.E. Bike Riding Unit
In this week's Thursday folders you received information about our upcoming bike riding unit. This is a new unit for us and we are very excited. All students, K-6, will participate between May 6th and 30th. We will take all necessary precautions to make sure that our students will be safe the entire time they ride, including wearing hairnets, helmets, and teaching students proper bike safety.
Should you have any questions please reach out to Mr. Shirley and Ms. Raineri at rwshirley@fcps.edu and clraineri@fcps.edu.
Teacher Appreciation Raffle
Teacher Appreciation Week starts on Monday, May 6. Each year, we collect gift cards from families to raffle off to our staff. Our goal is to collect one gift card for each instructional staff member (teachers, instructional assistants, and specialists). As of today, we have collected 26 gift cards. We hope you might consider donating to our teacher raffle.
Gift cards can be brought to the main office. Please put them in an envelope with your child's name as we want to extend our thanks to all who donate. Thank you for helping us celebrate our incredible staff!
2024-2025 Class Placement and Family Input
2024-2025 Class Placement - Family Input Form
We are starting to work on our plans for the 2024-2025 school year! Class placements are an essential component of learning and building community. If you have information that you would like us to consider as we determine placements, please share your input by answering a few questions in the attached form. We know that a good teacher-student match and a productive mix of children are ingredients for success, and we carefully consider each child’s strengths and needs during this process. Please do not request specific teachers, as this does not take into account the many variables we must take into consideration. It is far more valuable to share particular academic or behavioral information.
Completion of this form is optional. If you would like to provide input, you may use this online form or a hard copy may be sent to the office by May 17th. This is a hard deadline.
Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow!
As we approach the end of the school year, it’s important for students to stay engaged, attend school, and finish strong!
