Dear Sleepy Hollow Families,
What an amazing week it has been as we reflect on the unforgettable experiences our students had during our farm trip! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the chaperones and staff members who supported this exciting adventure, ensuring that every student had the opportunity to learn, explore, and connect with nature in meaningful ways.
A Day on the Farm Our students immersed themselves in the sights, sounds, and smells of farm life. It was a joy to witness their excitement and curiosity as they engaged in hands-on activities and discovered the wonders of the natural world. These experiences not only fostered a deeper appreciation for agriculture but also provided valuable lessons about sustainability, environmental stewardship, and the importance of connecting with our food sources.
Six Weeks of School Remaining As we enter the final stretch of the school year, let's keep the momentum going! Now is the perfect time to reinforce school expectations with your child, emphasizing the importance of making safe, respectful, and responsible choices each day. Remind them that every moment matters and that attending school regularly is key to their success.
Parent Partnership Your partnership in your child's education is invaluable, and we encourage you to continue supporting their learning journey at home. Take time to engage in conversations about their day at school, and provide encouragement and praise for their efforts and achievements. Together, we can ensure that every child reaches their full potential.
Upcoming Events As we look ahead, please be on the lookout for information about upcoming events and activities, including end-of-year celebrations. Your involvement and participation in these events are essential to creating a vibrant and supportive school community.
Thank you once again for your continued support and dedication to the success of our students. Let's make the most of the remaining weeks of the school year and finish strong!
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead filled with joy, learning, and cherished moments with your family.

SEL Screener Results
FCPS students in grades 3-12 took the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Screener during March, providing updated information on skills such as achieving goals, understanding and managing emotions, establishing and maintaining relationships with adults and peers, and making responsible decisions. The SEL Screener also helps students evaluate their school community’s efforts to make them feel valued, included, and supported.
In late April, individual student SEL Screener results will be available for families in the Documents section of SIS ParentVUE. For families who do not have an active ParentVUE account, results will be sent via postal mail.
Get more information about the screener on the Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Screener webpage. For support in understanding your individual student’s results or ideas on how to support them at home, please review the Family Guide or contact Dr. Cottle, school counselor TVCottle@fcps.edu
