The promotion ceremony will be the morning of 6/11 at Woodson High School, followed by a lunch and party hosted by the 6th grade parents back at Mantua. The party will include games, music, snacks, fun activities, and time to hang with friends!

In the meantime, we are now collecting $30 from each student to cover the costs of the lunch, party, and t-shirt. The t-shirts will be handed out the morning of the Gettysburg field trip to wear that day and the day of the party. Do you play an instrument, sing or dance? Do you like to perform magic? Do you want to
demonstrate your martial arts prowess? Then why not enter this year’s talent show?

ALL acts will be accepted, provided they meet the following conditions:

• The act is two minutes in length or less;
• The act is appropriate for all age levels (i.e., Rated G);
• The audition form is submitted by the extended deadline, May 5
  
  

Students may participate in one act only, either as an individual or as a group.

Please support the Mantua Kids Care Club by coming out for the 24th annual Raccoon Run! Race Day is 5/11 with the 1 mile fun run kicking off at 8 am, followed by the 5K at 8:30. As always all proceeds will go to Life With Cancer.

The Mantua Drama Club is proud to present Aristocats Kids the musical! With the help of a smooth talking tomcat, a family of Parisian felines set to inherit a fortune from their owner try to make it back home after a jealous butler kidnaps them and leaves them in the country. Don't miss this heart-warming tale brought to life by our talented cast of Mantua students.

Performances will be Friday May 3 at 7pm & Saturday May 4 at 2pm and 6pm in the Mantua gym. Tickets will be $8 at the door and we are also offering a chance to buy ahead of time: Wednesday May 1 and Thursday May 2, 5:30-5:45pm and 8:15-8:30pm in the Mantua Gym.

Concessions will be sold at the shows: NO pizza this time, but plenty of fun snacks and sweets. We accept cash and credit card. We hope to see you there!

Troop 1533G is a thriving all-girl scouting troop based in Mantua/Fairfax area.. Our girl troop was founded in Spring 2019 by a group of Mantua Elementary students, alumna, and families, and we have since grown to have girls not only from Mantua, but also scouts attending schools in Fairfax, Vienna, Annandale, and Falls Church.

Our meeting locations are conveniently located at Mantua ES and Elks Lodge at the intersection of Route 50 and Prosperity Ave.

Our troop has opportunities to camp each month, hikes, kayaks/rafts, studies plants and wildlife, stargazes, and more! 

Eligibility: At least 10 years old, currently in the 5th grade or above or have earned the Cub Scout Arrow of Light Award. Older siblings welcome- we have scouts ages 10-17!
