Class of 2024 All Night Graduation Party
Greetings families!! We are actively preparing for the Class of 2024 All Night Graduation Party (ANGP) which will be held on June 4, 2024 at 11 pm at McLean High School. The ANGP provides a safe, alcohol-free and drug-free evening for our Seniors to celebrate after their high school graduation. Every year our students look forward to the ANGP, which is an amazing, fun-filled event where they can spend one last time making memories with their classmates and enjoy a variety of entertainment, games, great food, prizes, and much more.
ANGP Tickets
ANGP tickets are now available. Take advantage of the early bird pricing while you can. The early bird price is $80. Ticket prices will increase as of May 4, 2024. For all students who purchase their tickets at the early bird price, you will be entered into a raffle.

Yard Signs
Class of 2024 yard signs are now available. This year we are offering two types of signs: (1) Decision signs that will allow you to celebrate your Senior's college/university/military decision and (2) Graduation signs to celebrate your Senior upon graduation in June. Donation/Fundraising Opportunities
We are actively preparing to create a fun event for Class of 2024 ANGP. We are in need of your support for monetary donations as well as prize and gift card donations for items that will be used as giveaways during the event. We have also partnered with Raise Right which allows families to purchase gift cards for party donations or personal use that will help to raise funds in support of ANGP.

Volunteer Opportunities

The PTSA organizes a weekly Friday Breakfast Station during the year stocked with contributions by fellow McLean HS families. AP Testing
AP Testing Early Release & Late Arrival Pre-Arranged Absence
The main testing window for AP exams is below. With parent/guardian permission, McLean HS students are allowed to be released early following an AP exam and arrive late before their scheduled AP exam. All pre-arranged absence notes (no phone calls or handwritten notes please) are due to Ms. Yates in the attendance office by April 25th. Please keep in mind that all classes will continue with instruction during AP testing, and that students are responsible for all assignments from each class. Here are the links to the early release permission slip, late arrival permission slip, and printed out copies will be available in the main office.
AP Testing
AP Testing will take place between May 6-24. Students should arrive at their testing locations by 7:45am for morning AP exams, and by 11:45am for afternoon AP exams. Students must arrange a ride home from school as most afternoon AP exams will conclude between 3:30-4:30PM.
Materials for paper/pencil exams
- Two #2 pencils and black/dark blue pen
- A calculator if taking APES, Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Macro, Micro, Physics, Precalculus, or Statistics
Materials for Digital Tests (African Studies, Chinese, CSP, English Lang, English Lit, Seminar, U.S. History, & World History) exams
- Fully charged FCPS Chromebook and charger
- College Board login credentials to access Bluebook
- Two #2 pencils and black/dark blue pen

Save the date! Join the community Monday, April 29 at 7pm at the McLean Community Center’s Alden Theatre for an evening with New York Times best-selling author and journalist, Jeff Selingo. Well-known for his years of experience monitoring and researching the higher-education industry, Jeff will share his insights on current trends in college admissions and tips on managing the process and preserving the peace.
Moderators, Dr. Heather Tedesco, Psychologist, and Hannah Wolff, Associate Director of College Counseling at Georgetown Prep, will take questions from the audience and share their expertise and experience working with students and their families.

16th Annual Outstanding Character Award for Teenagers
Every year, MCA sponsors the Outstanding Character Award for Teenagers to recognize teens with exceptional ethical and compassionate character. Teens who have, on their own and without compensation or formal recognition, cared for elderly relatives or younger siblings, or who have helped out in their neighborhood or anywhere in the Greater Washington D.C. metropolitan area, are eligible for recognition. MCA is proud to recognize these teens and to hold them up as an example for others to follow.
All teen nominations must meet the criteria listed on the application. The MCA Education and Youth Committee will review nominations and select the winners from the most deserving candidates.
A completed application and two nominations must be submitted via email NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, APRIL 26, 2024.
MCA President Linda Walsh will join local officials in presenting the awards. The award ceremony will be held at Lewinsville Park on Chain Bridge Road in McLean on McLean Day, May 18th, at 3pm!
