Herndon ES 27th Annual Career Day!

career day

Firefighters, contractors, musicians, nurses ….you name it!  Over 60 careers were represented at our Herndon ES Career Day! Thank you to Ms. Bryant who has been doing this for 27 years and our amazing counseling team for putting all this together. Our young Bees were excited to learn!

We would like to give a big shout out to the presenters who came from all walks of life and took time out of their busy day to share their careers with our students.

Thank you to our wonderful teachers, staff, volunteers, and PTA who guided the students with making their briefcases and business cards, set up and break down of the event, donating food for breakfast and lunch, and clean up!

Dear Herndon ES Families!

You're cordially invited to our Herndon ES Heritage Night (formerly International Night) on Thursday, April 25, 5:30-7:30pm.

Teachers, staff, parents, families, and students have been hard at work preparing for this special event. Take a stroll down artifact alley, taste food from different cultures all brought in by families to share, participate in cultural crafts and see families share cultural talents, watch students in performances, and wrap up with our international parade.

Families are still encouraged to share specialties of food, talents, artifacts, and costumes of their heritage!  Please contact  Yovanka Perez at  myperez@fcps.edu.

See you there!

The vision of Herndon Elementary School is to provide students with a safe, nurturing learning environment where all students will work to their full potential.

The mission of Herndon Elementary is to develop children to their full potential by ensuring a high level of success for all students. Teachers will work to differentiate instruction, provide a safe environment, and develop goals with students. Parents and teachers will work together as a community to prepare students to become productive citizens.

Our vision for the 2023-2024 school year is…

  • We will know all of our bees as scholars and as humans.
  • As a staff, we are a team and collectively responsible for all of our bees.
  • We will bring joy to our Bees' lives everyday and celebrate their successes throughout the school year.
  • All members of our Hive will know that belong here.
