Floris Families,

June begins tomorrow, and we have so many great activities happening in these last days of the school year. Next Wednesday and Thursday evenings are the annual 6th grade musical performances. Grade level end-of-year celebrations and reflections are happening in the upcoming days as well.

Another reminder that if you are coming to school for any event (lunch visit, guest reader, a meeting, class party, etc.) you must have your government issued photo ID to sign in at the Visitor Management System in the main office.

Also, please remember to check out the Lost and Found in the cafeteria when you are here. It is overflowing  Anything that remains after 2:00pm on June 12 will be packed and donated.

Next Monday, our Floris alumni who are seniors at Westfield HS will be at Floris for their annual Grad Walk, and on Thursday, our South Lakes HS Floris alumni seniors will be celebrating with their Grad Walk as well. It is wonderful to welcome and celebrate our Floris alums this way.

Our Kinders were having so much fun this morning at the annual Big Truck Day. We appreciate everyone's flexibility with parking and Kiss-and-Ride to enable this amazing annual event (which has been happening at least since I was a teacher at Floris in 1993).

A reminder to families, if your child has medication in the School Health Room, a parent must come to Floris by Wednesday, June 12, at 2:00pm to pick up the medication.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Holly Walker, Principal, hjwalker@fcps.edu

Rob Gibbs, Assistant Principal, ragibbs@fcps.edu
