Good afternoon, Fox Mill Families,

Our highlight of this week was the Solar Eclipse on Monday, a phenomenon our students will not be able to witness again until 2044. We loved hearing stories from our students who went as far as Niagara Falls and New Mexico to etch this memory into some deeply woven family time.

We would like to thank Otsuka Sensei for coordinating our visit to The White House on Wednesday. A group of students along with three adults spent the morning as invited guests, at a welcoming ceremony for Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife.

Our students participated in a Pep Rally to cheer our 6th grade basketball students and staff as they prepare for tonight’s basketball game at South Lakes High School. See you there!

Thank you to our 1st grade parents for providing a scrumptious breakfast for our staff. We appreciate you.

A Few Updates

April is the Month of the Military Child

The Month of the Military Child is a time to recognize military-connected youth for their service and contribution to our community. Fairfax County Public Schools is proud to have more than 14,000 military-connected youth as a part of our student body. We appreciate the varied life experiences they bring to our school community and recognize their strength and resilience.

Fox Mill is excited to honor our military kids and their families by celebrating Military Child Spirit Week APR 15th-19th.  Please check your child’s Thursday folder for a flyer outlining Spirit Week activities. Please stay tuned for other activities announced during the week.

Offer Your Feedback: Upcoming School Health Services Satisfaction Survey April 15 - 26, 2024

The Fairfax County Health Department (FCHD) and Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) School Health Services invites parents/guardians of FCPS students to participate in a survey requesting feedback on the level of satisfaction with School Health services provided to the school community.

FCHD employs school health aides and public health nurses who provide school health services to the students in FCPS. To determine the quality of these services, a survey has been developed by the FCHD to be shared with all parents or guardians who interact with the school health rooms. The survey will open on April 15, 2024 and will remain open until April 26, 2024. The survey should take approximately five minutes to complete. Submit your survey.

Have a wonderful weekend.
