A Message from Ms. Laxton, Principal
Dolphin Families,
Thank you so much for joining us this morning for Breakfast with a Buddy! We had a great turnout and saw lots of kids who started their day with smiles, hugs, and a positive outlook.
We hope to see you tonight at Mount Vernon High School for our staff Basketball Game VS Lorton Station Elementary School. While I cannot promise that I have amazing basketball skills, I am sure our team will bring lots of energy and fun for this event.
Next week the fun continues. Please plan to celebrate our military kids with a CLAP-IN on Wednesday morning. We will all be outside, blasting some music, and showing off in PURPLE to recognize our amazing military kids!
Then on Wednesday evening, join us for a night of learning. Pizza will be sold in the cafeteria starting at 5:00. Then you can visit classrooms to engage in some fun learning activities.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Students in all FCPS schools can enroll in the Elementary Institute for the Arts. IFTA is a weekly Arts enrichment program for students in rising 3rd through 6th grades during the month of July. Students take classes in Art, Music, Theatre, and Dance every day. Transportation is provided from around the county. Tuition assistance is available for students who qualify. Check out the Elementary Institute for the Arts website for more information or email eifta@fcps.edu.
FCPS Cares!
The FCPS CARES Program is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story, so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees at Fort Belvoir Upper ES. We love our FBES staff members, let's tell them how we feel!
