Dear Deer Park Families:
Hello from the Deer Park Student Council Association! The SCA will be sponsoring its annual community food drive, beginning next week (Monday, 04/15/2024)!
As we considered the drive this year, one number came to mind: 42424. Our goal is simple: we hope to raise 424 pounds of donated food by 4/24/24.
To add a fun wrinkle this year, the SCA’s student leaders offered awesome themes that you may choose to participate in! The themes are:

Taco Tuesday: seasonings, hard shells, canned/jarred salsa, rice bags, cans of refried beans, canned chicken, canned tomatoes

They Say It’s Your Birthday!: disposable baking pan, cake mix, frosting, cooking oil (olive, canola, vegetable, etc.), baking flour, sugar, brown sugar

Let’s Grill Out: salt, pepper, condiments (bottles of ketchup, mustard, mayo), jarred pickles, canned vegetables, chips

Something easy, please: Chef Boyardee pasta cups, Hamburger Helper boxes, Pasta Helpers

Pasta Night: Boxes of pasta, risotto, jars of pasta sauces

Breakfast!: pancake/waffle mix, cooking oils, unopened boxes of oatmeal, grits, cereals, coffee (ground only), individual low sugar juice boxes
If your family would like to donate, please do; however, don’t feel like you have to donate all of the items from a category! Any and all donations of the above items are welcome and appreciated.
All donations must be unopened and in original packaging; they will be given to FCPS Ignite Partner and Deer Park Community Partner, Western Fairfax Christian Ministries. This charity is open to any member of the Centreville and Chantilly community.
