Chantilly Pyramid Art Show

Good afternoon, Franklin Community,

It was such a pleasure viewing the many talents of our students at last week’s Chantilly Pyramid Art Show!  I encourage you to take a moment to review the pieces highlighted in the photos above.  Thank you to our amazing art teacher, Ms. Tammy French, for organizing our student art work and contributing to a great evening with our pyramid schools.

As you begin to plan for next week, please note several important events.  On Tuesday the 16th, our 8th graders will all be taking the Integrated Reading and Writing (IRW) assessment at the beginning of the day.  7th graders will be reporting to Falcon Time to complete a choice board of various activities.  On Wednesday, we welcome author Stuart Gibbs to Franklin MS!  All students will have an opportunity to hear from him and sample his many works.  Wednesday is also Purple Up day, in which we celebrate our military-connected youth.  We encourage all students to show their support for our military families by wearing purple.  And lastly, we are excited to host Stone Middle School Thursday evening for a student basketball game with tip-off at 6:00 PM.  It’s going to be a great week at Franklin MS!

Finally, all students received their 3rd quarter report cards today in Falcon Time so please take a moment to review that with your child and set some goals for the 4th quarter.  I encourage you to reach out to your child’s teachers and/or counselor to discuss any concerns or additional supports your child might need.

As always, please reach out to me with any questions or concerns.  I wish you all a wonderful weekend and best of luck to our track and field team as they have their first competition tomorrow at Langley HS!

Sincerely,

Michelle Case

Interim Principal
