eclipse

🌒 Eclipse day was out of this world! Thank you Dr. Galvin for showing us a fun way to learn about solar eclipses and how light travels. The small holes in the colander act like mini pinhole cameras, projecting the sun's shape onto the ground!

Principal's Message

Hello Stone Panther Families,

As we welcome the warmer weather this week, I wanted to remind you to ensure that your student is dressed appropriately for both the weather and learning.

Here are some important events happening this week:

  • Finance Park Field Trip: Our 8th graders will be participating in our annual Finance Park field trip with their Civics classes. This is a valuable opportunity for them to learn about financial literacy and real-world budgeting. Please ensure that your child is prepared for this educational experience.
  • Basketball Game: Our basketball teams will be facing off against the Franklin Falcons at Franklin Middle School on Thursday at 6pm. Come out and support our Panthers as they showcase their skills on the court!
  • Westfield Pyramid Art Show: We are proud to have numerous students participating in the Westfield pyramid art show on Thursday, starting at 6:30pm. This event will be a celebration of creativity and talent across our pyramid, with awards being presented to deserving students. We encourage you to attend and show your support for our budding artists.
  • Track Meet: Our Panthers demonstrated exceptional talent at our first track meet of the spring season, held at Langley High School the past Saturday. They competed fiercely in events such as the 100m, 200m, 400m, long jump, and shot put. You are invited to cheer on our team this Saturday at McLean High School, starting at 8am. Your support means the world to our athletes!

Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our  school community. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Let's have a great week Panthers!

Sonya Williams, Principal
