Celebrate Deer Park/Literacy Night
Tuesday, April 23, 2024 5pm - 7pm
Join us to Celebrate Deer Park and Literacy
A celebration of our Deer Park community, favorite foods and our love of reading.
The evening will include read-alouds in the gym, make your own bookmark, visits from the Centreville Regional Library, food tastings, shopping at the Spring Book Fair, and performances by Westfield High dance groups and community Tae Kwon Do schools. Meet Asha Jyothi!
All students received a paper doll with flag in last week's Thursday folder to decorate for Celebrate Deer Park Week. Students are asked to decorate the doll to be shared/displayed during the week of April 22-26, 2024. The doll should be decorated to represent your hobbies, favorite foods, your family's heritage, and anything else you choose! Return dolls to your child's classroom teacher by Friday, April 12.

Join our community and turn FCPS purple on Purple Up! Day, Wednesday, April 17. Wear purple in recognition of FCPS’ 14,000 enrolled military-connected students. Purple represents military youth because purple combines all the colors of the military branches!

The Deer Park PTA will be offering Easy & Hassle Free shopping for next year's School Supplies. The online sale will begin in May and end June 25th.
The supply packs will be delivered to the school before the first day of school.

Spring SOL Schedule
SOL's will begin in May and we ask that those students in grades 3-6 make every possible effort to be in school on the day of a scheduled SOL. Ensure that your student gets a good night's sleep and a healthy, nutritious breakfast to start their day. If you have any questions about the schedule, please contact the school office at 703-802-5000.
