Dear Wakefield Forest Families,
It is time to start planning for our next school year. Developing class assignments each year is a complex process. School administration, classroom teachers, counselors, special education staff and specialists all have the opportunity to provide feedback on class groupings.
If you have feedback that you would like for us to consider, please add it to this Family Input Form no later than May 17, 2024. Late submissions will not be accepted. We will consider all feedback provided, but we are not always able to fulfill requests.
We respectfully ask that you do not request particular teachers. It is unfair to give special consideration to some families when it would be impossible to grant requests from all families. Please be aware that grade level assignments for staff sometimes change, due to late enrollments or other changes. Staff assignments are determined at the end of the summer.

Calling all book fair lovers! Our spring book fair will take place in the new library next week. Mrs. Rapuano is looking for volunteers to assist with running the fair during school hours Monday-Friday and family shopping hours on Tuesday evening. Book fair volunteers typically assist with helping students make their wish lists on Monday and make their purchases the rest of the week, as well as running the registers. Volunteers are also needed to help pack up the fair after school on Friday. If you are available and interested in helping out, please visit our Book Fair sign up genius here.

See American Association of School Librarians. Every April school librarians are encouraged to host activities to help their school and local community celebrate the essential role that strong school libraries play in transforming learning. |
April is the Month of the Military Child! Every year we take the opportunity to recognize military-connected youth for their service and contribution to our community. Fairfax County Public Schools is proud to have over 14,000 military-connected youth as a part of our student body. We appreciate the varied life experiences they bring to our school community, and recognize their strength and resilience.
