Welcome back Dragons! We are ready to kick off the fourth quarter…AND we are also kicking off our Spring Run-A-Thon Fundraiser! Students who raise $25 by Sunday Night win a special Run-A-Thon t-shirt!

Any student who registers on the Run-A-Thon website and raises $25 by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, April 7 will earn a Run-A-Thon T-shirt!
Our fundraising goal this year is $20,000 for new playground equipment! Let’s goooo Dragons! We got this!

Run - A -Thon Dates
The fun run will be held Monday, April 29th and Tuesday, April 30th. Save the dates and keep an eye out for a volunteer signup!
Next PTA Board Meeting: April 11th
The PTA will meet next Thursday, April 11th in the Dranesville Library. PTA board elections will be held at this meeting. Come and meet the 2024-25 PTA Board!
Staff Appreciation Week, May 6-10
Mark your calendars for Staff Appreciation Week! On May 9th, the PTA wants to show our amazing staff with gift cards to show them how much we appreciate their work and dedication.

Here's where you come in: If you have any gift cards lying around that you won't use or would love to donate to our DES Staff, or if you’d like to purchase a gift card to contribute, we'd be incredibly grateful for your generosity.
Any gift card donations may be sent in with your child by May 2nd. Place all gift cards in an envelope clearly marked with "DES SAW" and send to the main office. Thank you!

Register today for Spring Chess Club! Starts April 16th
Presented by Snow Chess, this is fun, low-pressure chess instruction and play in a controlled scholastic environment. Interactive lessons are taught by a US Chess Federation experienced adult chess teacher.
When: Tuesday mornings, April 16-June 4
Time: 8:00 - 9:00 a.m.
Where: Dranesville Library
