Chantilly Academy Program Highlights

Classroom on the Mall's Annual Prom Dress Shop Opens Today!

Students from Chantilly Academy's Classroom on the Mall program will open their annual Prom Dress Shop on Friday, April 5th at Centreville High School.  Since 2006, Classroom on the Mall students have hosted the dress shop during prom season to provide prom dresses and accessories to hundreds of students who might not have the means to purchase a dress.  Classroom on the Mall students apply the retail marketing and visual merchandising skills they learn throughout the school year to plan and execute the Prom Dress Shop.

The Prom Dress Shop is open to high school students from any school district who show a valid student ID.  It is located in the modular classroom building, near the stadium, in the student parking lot of Centreville High School outside of door 12.

Special thanks to our Classroom on the Mall students and instructor, Miranda Schick, who have worked so hard to make this amazing opportunity available to local students!

Chantilly Academy Highlights

Korea Trip

Students from our Korean program traveled to Seoul, Korea over Spring Break.  It was a wonderful opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the Korean culture and practice their Korean language skills!  The group is pictured here wearing a beautiful variety of hanboks, which is a style of traditional Korean clothing.  Many thanks to our Korean teachers, Ms. Ko and Ms. Kang, for chaperoning this exciting field trip.

STEM lacrosse project

Engineering Systems students are creating practical solutions for people with physical impairments.  This group of students is constructing an automatic lacrosse ball launcher to make the sport accessible to individuals with disabilities.

medical assistant

Our Medical Assistant students recently began their clinical shadows at local Inova clinics.  Current Chantilly Academy MA student, Lily, shadowed a former Chantilly Academy MA student, Natalie, this week.  Natalie graduated last year and now works full-time as a Medical Assistant at one of our Inova partner clinics.  A full circle moment!

auto collision

Auto Collision students didn't miss a beat when they returned from Spring Break.  They started the week in the paint booth and ended the week applying hand-designed decals to their freshly painted fenders.  Next week, they'll paint over the decals to reveal some amazing custom artwork.  Stay tuned for the final product!

Month of the Military Child graphic

April is The Month of the Military Child, a time to recognize military-connected youth for their service and contribution to our community.  To show our support for all our military-connected families, we invite Chantilly Academy students and staff to “Purple Up!” for military children and wear purple on Wednesday, April 17.
