Third Quarter Student Attendance Summary- Coming Soon!
As you know, regular attendance is a priority at Madison High School and is crucial for the academic success of all students. Studies have repeatedly proven that students with better attendance records perform better in school and are more likely to graduate high school on time. It is critical that students attend school regularly throughout the 4th quarter as teachers are continuing with meaningful instruction and preparation for end of course assessments.
This week we will again be sending out a personalized Attendance Summary to each student and family. We recognize that there are a variety of reasons that students are absent and this summary will be for informational purposes only.
We appreciate your partnership in prioritizing regular school attendance. Please reach out to your student’s counselor or visit this FCPS resource on Encouraging School Attendance if you need additional support.
MADWINGS Presentations. As we approach the end of the school year, all students will be reflecting on their growth and presenting their Wings Portfolio in Advisory class during the last week of school. A handful of students did not present during the 2022-2023 school year, and we want to ensure they are supported and prepared for the upcoming opportunity to present this spring. On Tuesday, April 9th, we will be sending passes during block 1 inviting these students to Town Hall to connect one-on-one with an administrator to discuss their Wings progress. An email will be sent directly to students and parents with more details about the 9th.

One School | One Community | One World
Madison High School strives to create and maintain an identity affirming learning environment where our students embrace, support, and encourage each other where multiple forms of identity (i.e. race, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, or disability) are recognized and regarded as assets for teaching and learning. We work to ensure school is a place where students feel safe and can be themselves. We do not tolerate hate speech, racist speech, bias, or acts of discrimination in our school. We want all students to feel a sense of belonging. We want to see all students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
