We hope you've had a fun Spring Break. The FCPS The Family Engagement Survey window has been extended to Wednesday, April 3. Thank you for lending your voice to this important effort — it matters!.
Please also take a few minutes to complete the Principal Evaluation and Feedback survey that should have come to you in an email. The window for this survey closes on April 5.
Our staff will be working on third quarter report cards and engaging in professional learning together today and tomorrow. We will look forward to seeing our students back at school on Wednesday, April 3.
Third Quarter Progress Reports will be viewable in SIS ParentVUE on Monday, April 15. For those families that have requested paper copies of progress reports, those will go home on Tuesday, April 16.

Total Solar Eclipse - April 8 ☀️
In preparation for the Solar Eclipse next Monday, we have purchased safe viewing glasses for all our students and staff. We partnered with the PTA to purchase these glasses and consulted with the FCPS Safety and Security Office to ensure we are purchasing glasses that meet safety specifications.
The eclipse will begin around 2:04 p.m. and end at 4:32 p.m. with the maximum eclipse occurring around 3:20 p.m. As the timing overlaps with dismissal, it is crucial that students understand the importance of safe viewing practices. We encourage families to review these Solar Eclipse Resources, especially the eye safety information.
Haycock Heritage Night- Monday, April 15
6:00-8:00 p.m.
Celebrate the diversity within our community and learn about cultures around the world through delicious food, live performances, and lots of fun.

Welcome Krystal Styles, Assistant Principal
We are excited to welcome Ms. Krystal Styles as our new Assistant Principal. Ms. Styles comes to us from Fort Hunt Elementary where she served as an instructional coach and an important member of their leadership team. Prior to that, she was a classroom teacher at Willow Springs Elementary and in Prince William County, Virginia and Charles County, Maryland. Ms. Styles will begin with us on Monday, April 15.
