Dear Mighty Red Bird Families,
As we approach the end of the third quarter, we want to take a moment to celebrate the hard work and achievements of our students. Your support and dedication to their education are truly appreciated.
A huge thank you goes out to Ms. Hawk and our fantastic parent and staff volunteers for a great Scholastic Book Fair, fueling our students' love for reading. Let's also give a standing ovation to our amazing music teachers and the Kindergarten team and students for a lovely musical showcase Tuesday evening. You all filled our hearts with joy and melody!
March 25-29 is spring break. Schools and school offices will be closed. There is no school for students April 1-2 due to a Teacher Work Day and Staff Development Day. See the complete school year calendar. We wish all Mighty Red Birds a restful and rejuvenating time with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on April 3rd!

Easter
We send advanced wishes for a joyful Easter to all in our community who celebrate! This year's Easter artwork was created by Falls Church High School student Dayanara M. The springtime celebration of Easter is the most important Christian holiday. It commemorates the resurrection of Jesus, who sacrificed so that Christians may have life with God after death. #OurFCPSThis artwork was designed as part of the FCPS Observance Design Challenge for Students. Spring Break Basketball Camp
April is the Month of the Military Child! Every year we take the opportunity to recognize military-connected youth for their service and contribution to our community. Cardinal Forest is proud to have many military-connected children! We appreciate the varied life experiences they bring to our school community, and recognize their strength and resilience. This year, spring break is March 25-29. We will be eager to welcome your children back in school on Wednesday, April 3, after two teacher work days. Student attendance is very important. Every day, our teachers will be teaching, and students will be learning. Studies have shown that just two absences per month can cause students to fall behind. Let’s finish this school year strong!
