As we approach the end of the third quarter, we’d like to take a moment to celebrate all the hard work and dedication shown by our students and staff! They’ve tackled challenging assignments, participated in engaging activities, and celebrated many achievements!
Now, it's time for a well-deserved break! We wish you all a fantastic spring break filled with relaxation, fun, and time spent with loved ones. Whether you're traveling, staying local, or simply catching up on some rest, we hope you enjoy this time to recharge.
As we enjoy a well-deserved spring break, the fourth quarter is approaching quickly. We're eager to jump back in and finish the year strong!
We're excited to see you all refreshed and ready to learn when we return on Wednesday, April 3rd!

The main office as well as the entire school will be closed during the duration of Spring Break from March 25th - March 29th.
NYC will be taking a break next week. The next message to go out will be on 4/5/24.

As a reminder, for everyone’s safety, students must be picked up and dropped off only in the designated Kiss and Ride traffic pattern located in the parking lot on the cafeteria side of the school.
We please ask that no student be dropped off or cross Hollinger Avenue to get to or from a vehicle during arrival or dismissal. We also please ask that cars not make a U-turn in front of the school during arrival and dismissal.
Arrival time is between 8:30 am and 8:50 am.
Dismissal time is between 3:30 pm and 4:00 pm.

3rd Graders have been working hard to learn several songs on the recorder! Ask your student to play a few for you! While they are at home this week, please take the time to wash the recorder with dish soap and hot water. The bag can be laundered with your laundry! We will ask that they come back to school by Monday, April 15th!

Believe it or not, the Rachel Carson PTA is already planning for the 2024-2025 school year! Are you or is someone you know enthusiastic about supporting Rachel Carson and all of its students, teachers, and staff? We are soliciting nominations for several positions that will be open next year including:

- Recording Secretary
- VP of Fundraising and Social Events
- Membership Chair
- Basketball Chair
- Multicultural Night Chair
- STEAM Night Chair

It is very important that we have this information so that we are staffed appropriately for next school year. If you have multiple students at Lees Corner, please complete one form for each.
