2023-24 FCPS School Calendar
Thank you to our wonderful parent liaisons, Raquel Snyder and Yessenia Mendoza, for creating, sourcing, and implementing our Spring/Summer Activities Expo to complement our Book Fair Family Night. They had over 15 community vendors represented and many families came out for both events!

Thank you to our amazing HES PTA and all of the volunteers for giving so much of your your time and effort to bring the Book Fair to our school not once but twice this school year! This is a major fundraiser that will be poured right back into supporting Herndon ES and we are grateful to all of you.
Herndon ES Spelling Bee Winners
Congratulations to our Herndon ES Spelling Bee winners and all of our participants!
Kevin in Mr. Hernandez’s class in 5th grade is our school-wide spelling bee winner and will go on to the FCPS spelling bee!
Our alternate is Chris in Mr. Anderson/Mrs. Holder’s class in 6th grade.
Our third place is Ehaad in Mrs. Muneer’s class in 3rd grade.

Parent Volunteers Needed Career Fair
We are beginning our preparations for the 2024 CAREER FAIR!! We LOVE parent participation and are extending an invitation for you to join us on APRIL 18th to share your expertise regarding your chosen field. We have 2 sessions: 10-12 & 1-3 p.m., you may choose one or stay all day! We provide breakfast, a yummy lunch and one of the best experiences you will have in 2024 😊

Friday, March 22, is the end of the third quarter. Monday, April 1, and Tuesday, April 2, are school planning and teacher workdays, respectively. There will be no school for students on these days. See the school year calendar.
