Principal Feedback

On Monday, March 18, Centreville High School parents/guardians will be sent an email containing a link to complete the online FCPS Principal Evaluation Parent/Guardian Feedback Form. This questionnaire is part of the VDOE-mandated Performance Evaluation Program for principals and offers parents/guardians an opportunity to provide anonymous input about various topics related to our school. These topics include how the principal demonstrates/impacts instructional leadership, school climate, management, communication and community relations, culturally responsive and equitable leadership, and professionalism within the school.

The questionnaire will be administered between March 18 and April 5. When you receive an email from FCPS Surveys, please take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire. Your feedback matters! Thank you!

PTSA Meeting, Tuesday, March 19 @ 7:00 in the Library

Please join us for the next PTSA meeting on March 19th at 7:00.  You can also join via Zoom at this link.

Attendance Update

Our current chronic absenteeism rate as of March 15th is 16.4%.  Our goal is to stay below 15% for the school year.  Please make sure that students continue to attend school each day, even as we approach spring break and throughout the fourth quarter.  Attendance for a partial day is better than missing the whole day.

CVHS Wildcat Achievements

Congratulations to our Girls Basketball Team

On Friday, March 1st, CVHS girls basketball season concluded in the VHSL 6A State semi-final game, a milestone CVHS had never reached before. The achievement marked a series of firsts for the team. The CVHS girls basketball team had never advanced beyond the Regional Semi-final game; this season they won the 2024 Northern Region Champion title!  Another first for playing in the State Tournament with the first game being at home and drawing a huge community support and a win!  AND a first for playing in the State semi-finals traveling down to Midlothian, VA for the game.  Their season ended with a record 23-4.  We congratulate them for an outstanding season and bringing great pride to the school and Centreville community.

Congratulations and bravo to all our Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band and Concert Band students on their Superior and Excellent ratings at the VBODA Band Performance Assessment on Wednesday, March 6. Not only did the students perform beautifully, but they also represented Centreville High School remarkably well with their attention, focus, discipline and maturity. HERE is a link to a short clip from the second movement of a major work the Wind Ensemble performed called Prelude, Siciliano and Rondo. Enjoy!

Another Congratulations to our CVHS Choir at Assessments

Congratulations to our choir members in Bella Voce and Symphonic Choir for receiving straight 1’s at District Choral Assessment! Both choirs received a 1 from each of 3 judges for their repertoire, both choirs received a 1 in their sight reading, and both choirs received an overall rating of Superior!
