Justice Pyramid Art Show

The Justice Pyramid art show is coming up. The Art Show is open to the public starting Tuesday, March 19 through Thursday, March 21 from 8:30-2:30 pm. Visitors should check in at the Justice HS Main Office first. The Pyramid Show Reception will be held on Thursday, March 21 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Parent/Guardian class lunch visit Schedule

Parents are invited to join their student(s) for a special lunch at school on an assigned day! This is a great opportunity for parents to come in for lunch with their child. Please see the full scheduleto view when your child’s class is scheduled for a lunch visit.

We encourage parents to eat the same lunch as their child either packed or purchased. On the day of your child’s lunch, please arrive 5-10 minutes early so you can sign-in at the office. All lunches will be hosted in room 249. If you choose to buy lunch from the cafeteria, adult pricing is $4.75 and may be paid in cash. Click here for more information on purchasing lunch.

Current and upcoming Assessments at Bailey’s Upper

Integrated Reading and Writing (IRW) SOL - 5th Grade Only, 

Beginning in the spring 2024, in support of the focus on integrating reading and writing instruction to build student literacy skills, the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) is implementing a new item type for the SOL grade 5 Reading tests.  

  • 5th Grade Only   - Friday, April 5, 2024

Spring iReady Assessments for Reading and Math

The purpose of iReady assessments is to identify students who may have gaps in foundational literacy and mathematics skills. iReady tests are also used to measure student progress in reading and mathematics skills. All students complete iReady in fall and spring each year. Depending on fall performance, a student may take an assessment again in the winter. iReady is delivered within the classroom instructional block. Schools set the specific dates for testing in each class.

  • 4th and 5th Grade Reading iReady - Tuesday, April 16th
  • 3rd, 4th and 5th grade iReady Math - Monday April 22nd
  • 3rd Grade Reading iReady - Monday, May 13th 

Reading, Math, and Science SOL dates for Bailey’s Upper:

State assessments measure the extent to which students have learned the content and skills reflected in state standards and may also be used to measure growth in learning state standards.

  • Reading SOL - Thursday, May 2nd
  • Math SOL - Thursday, May 9th

  • Reading SOL - Wednesday May 1st
  • Math SOL - Wednesday, May 8th 

5th grade SOLS
