Spring Picture Day
Individual and Class Pictures
Monday, March 18
Class pictures and individual Spring pictures will be taken on Monday, March 18. Order forms were sent home in Thursday folders on March 7.
The following pictures will be taken on March 18:
- New Students (who began after Fall Picture Day on October 20)
- Class Pictures
- Students (who have preordered online or bring an order form/payment)
Group Photos & GR 6 Panoramic Photo WILL NOT be taken on this day.
Order forms must be returned to the office before Picture Day (or given to the photographer when the picture is taken). No late payments or orders will be accepted.

Order Your 2023-2024 Yearbook Online
Deadline to Preorder: Friday, April 19
The Hunters Woods PTA is selling the 2023-2024 Yearbook!!
- Order your child's 2023-2024 yearbooks at Order Yearbook Here. Use school code 0037427YB. The cost is $15 per soft cover copy.
- Order now to guarantee you get a copy and at a lower price!! After April 19th, we will only be selling a limited number of yearbooks at the end of the year. The in-person price will $20 per book. Once they are gone, they are gone!!
- Yearbook order forms were sent home in your child's Thursday folder on February 15. Extra order forms are available in the main office.
- If you would prefer to purchase your yearbook by check (made payable to “HWPTA”) or cash, please send your payment in the envelope attached to the order form. (Please make sure to tape/seal the envelope so your payment is not lost.)

Lost & Found is Overflowing!
Help our "Lost" Items Become "Found" Items
If your child is missing any items (jacket/clothes/hat/water bottle/lunch box, etc.) PLEASE have them check the Lost & Found.
Parents may also sign in at the Main Office (bring ID)
during school hours and go through the Lost & Found.
Items that have not been claimed by Spring Break (March 25-29)
will be donated to charity.

If you haven’t already, please take FCPS’ Family Engagement Survey today! Survey results will help us to better recognize, understand, respect, and address family strengths and needs in our school community. Survey topics include:

- Community partnerships
The survey is available in 10 languages. Please check your email for a message from FCPS partner, K12 Insight, with a link to the survey or access the survey now. Parents/caregivers may also stop by the front office to fill out a paper survey or complete the survey online. Your voice matters!

Join a Conversation on Fentanyl and Other Drugs
A community conversation on the opioid crisis in Northern Virginia will be held Monday, March 18, 6:30-8 p.m., in the auditorium at Lake Braddock Secondary School. (Please enter through Door #14). Attendees will receive free REVIVE! Narcan training during the event and learn about support services within FCPS and Fairfax County.
This discussion will provide families, staff, and students with valuable knowledge about the dangers of drugs and deadly fentanyl. The material discussed will be suitable for students in grade 6 and higher. Language interpretation will be available as well as American Sign Language accommodation. Childcare and transportation will also be provided, as needed.
