What a busy week! Our 3rd and 4th graders attended the FSO Link-Up event, our ESOL team completed WIDA testing, and our spring clubs are up and running. Tonight brings Bingo and the PTA Silent Auction! We hope to see you there!
We want to share our deepest thanks for the incredible field trip and after-school opportunities our staff and community provide our students. Pictures can be found on our social media sites.

Spring After-School Clubs!
Our spring after-school clubs are up and running! Our Wildcats are enjoying Girls on the Run, soccer, Everything Club, Crafternoons, Board Game Club, Math Olympiad, Girl Scouts, and more!
FCPS Family Engagement Survey
The FCPS’ Family Engagement Survey is now open. Survey partner K12 Insight emailed a link to families on March 3 and again on March 6. Please participate! Your feedback is critical in helping to inform and improve FCPS practices to best support our students.
The survey is available in 10 languages. All responses are confidential. Parents/caregivers may stop by the front office to fill out a paper survey or complete the survey online. Please check your email for the survey invitation or use this survey link. Get more information on the Family Engagement Survey webpage.
Spring Break Office Hours
Spring break is the week of March 25th. The main office will be closed and will reopen on Monday, April 1st at 9:00am.
Winter iReady Score Reports
Results from the winter iReady assessments were uploaded in ParentVue the week of March 4. iReady reports will be mailed to families that do not have access to ParentVue.
Kindergarten Registration
Do you have a child at home who will be five by September 30, 2024? Please start your registration now. If you have any neighbors with little ones, please send this information to them as well. These are the 5 steps you need to take to register your child. If you have questions regarding kindergarten registration, please reach out Ms. Garcia or call our main office at 703-641-8200.

Elementary Institute for the Arts
Students in all FCPS schools can enroll in the Elementary Institute for the Arts. IFTA is a weekly Arts enrichment program for students in rising 3rd through 6th grades during the month of July. Students take classes in Art, Music, Theatre, and Dance every day. Transportation is provided from around the county. Tuition assistance is available for students who qualify. Student Monitors Needed
Woodburn is looking for student monitors to join our staff. This is an hourly position. Please reach out to Katy at kjrichman@fcps.edu or 703-641-8200 if interested.
Student Monitors:
Description: Provides supervision of students throughout the school day to include but not limited to the classroom, hallways, lunch, recess, specials and at arrival/dismissal; helps maintain order and discipline and assists in managing the behavior of students; operates technology; performs administrative and non-instructional duties; ensures all layered prevention/safety protocols and procedures are implemented and followed; works with individual and small groups of students.
Hourly: $16.85/hr
