Monday, March 25, to Friday, March 29 is spring break. The Cooper school office will be closed We wish our students, teachers, and staff a happy and restful spring break!

🗓️ Quarter End/Teacher Workday

Friday, March 22, is the end of the third quarter. Monday, April 1, and Tuesday, April 2, are school planning and teacher workdays, respectively.

 FCPS Principal Evaluation

On Monday, March 18, Cooper parents/guardians will be sent an email containing a link to complete the online FCPS Principal Evaluation Parent/Guardian Feedback Form. This questionnaire is part of the VDOE-mandated Performance Evaluation Program for principals and offers parents/guardians an opportunity to provide anonymous input about various topics related to our school. These topics include how the principal demonstrates/impacts instructional leadership, school climate, management, communication and community relations, culturally responsive and equitable leadership, and professionalism within the school.

The questionnaire will be administered between March 18 and April 5. When you receive an email from FCPS Surveys, please take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire. Your feedback matters!

Wednesday, March 13th Fundraising Opportunity

Big Buns D#*! Good Burgers, located in downtown McLean at 1330 Chain Bridge Road, will generously donate 20% of your purchase between the hours of 4 and 9 PM to the PTO for purchases made Weds, Mar 13th when you mention "Cooper Middle School".  Easy and delicious dinner option, and no mess for you!  Plus, ask any teenager . . . . they really are good burgers!

Word Masters

A team representing Cooper Middle School achieved Highest Honors in the recent WordMasters Challenge™, a national vocabulary competition. The eighth-grade team scored an impressive 168 points out of a possible 200 in the second of three meets this year, placing tenth in the nation.


Bands on the Run 5K

Sunday, April 21st

5th Annual Bands on the Run 5K will be held on Sunday, April 21 at 8am This event is open to the entire community and benefits both Langley and Cooper bands.

REGISTER NOW! All ages are welcome to run or walk the course (children 5 & under are free). We will have music, refreshments and sponsors’ tables waiting for you at the end. All participants will receive an official race t-shirt.
