ERFC is delighted to announce the appointment of Ryk Tierney as Executive Director, effective March 1, 2024. With more than 20 years in executive director roles at other pension systems, Ryk brings a wealth of experience and expertise to ERFC. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Ryk, as he embarks on this new chapter with ERFC.

Turning 65 in 2024?

First off, happy birthday! You're typically eligible for Medicare on the first day of the month you turn 65. Be sure to contact Social Security three months before you turn 65 to initiate Medicare coverage. For more details, read Becoming Eligible for Medicare.

COLA Applied March 31

Cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) percentages are based on the ERFC plan you retired from.

Remember, your first COLA is applied the calendar year after you retire. For example, if you retire anytime in 2024, your first COLA from ERFC will be applied to your benefit on March 31, 2025.
