Spring Track & Field starts right after Spring Break, with the first day of practice on April 3rd. We will hold an interest meeting on Wednesday, March 13, after school during A session for all interested athletes. Please sign up on the after school signup form to attend that meeting.
Practices will be held Wednesdays and Thursdays, after school during A session (2:30-3:35pm) and athletes will have the opportunity to go to a B session club or study hall if they need to ride the late bus home. Check out the LJMS Athletics website for more information about eligibility requirements and competition schedule.
Don't forget to pre-order your copy of the 2023-2024 yearbook! Students are working hard to make it a fun and interesting collection of memories from the year, and you won't want to miss out! All pre-orders are directly through Walsworth, our yearbook company, and distribution will happen at the end of May/beginning of June. A limited number of books will be available for purchase using cash or check once they arrive, but the only way to guarantee you get one is to order online now!

VIP Camp for Jackson Students is at Holmes Middle School this summer, and will run from July 1st- August 1st, 8am-4pm.
Students must be entering 7th or 8th grade in the fall, so current LJ 7th graders and 6th graders in LJ boundaries are eligible.
The cost is $100, plus field trip fees, which includes daily transportation, breakfast and lunch. (what a deal!)
Registration will go live on Tuesday, March 12 at 6:00pm.

8th graders attending Oakton HS, Madison HS, and Marshall HS have been invited to attend an "Activity Day" field trip to their future high school on Friday, March 15th. (due to ongoing renovations, Falls Church HS is not hosting an activity day this year)
Using information from SIS, we have added students to a Schoology group designated for their future high school, and the field trip permission form is located there. Please download, print, sign, and return those permission slips to the Student Services office by Wednesday, March 13th in order to secure your spot on the field trip bus.
If your student needs to be added to one of the groups because you've recently changed your high school intent... please reach out to their counselor to verify that the change has been made in SIS, and then let me know.
If you need a hard copy of the form to fill out, they are available in student services now.
Do you have a rising 7th grader headed to LJMS next year? Don't forget to sign them up for "How to Survive (and thrive) Middle School"... our annual two day "orientation program" for future tigers is scheduled for July 31-Aug 1, from 9am-1pm.
The cost is $40, and that includes transportation and lunch each of the two days, as well as an LJMS t-shirt.
