There was a lot to celebrate at Chantilly Academy this week!  Students from our programs competed at the Educator’s Rising State Competition, the Commonwealth Cyber Cup, the JROTC Drill Team Competition, and the DECA State Leadership Conference.  We are proud to share their impressive achievements!

  • Teachers for Tomorrow student, Anna C., won 2nd place in Virginia’s Educators Rising Competition for the Children’s Literature K-3 Varsity event with her hands-on story teaching children how to tie their shoes.
  • Cyber IT students George F., Justin H., and Ari R. competed in the Advanced Team competition at the Commonwealth Cyber Cup and placed 3rd out of 10 teams.  Our Beginner Team, comprised of Jason L., Chein T., and Timothy W., placed 3rd out of 13 teams.
  • Our Air Force JROTC Drill Team won 3rd place overall at the Drill Team Competition at Unity Reed High School.  The Cadets also earned recognition in the 1st Year Cadet Unarmed Regulation Drill (1st place), the 1st Year Cadet Inspection (1st place), the Advanced Regulation Drill (2nd place), and the Advanced Color Guard (3rd place).
  • Classroom on the Mall student Adama S. was a State Finalist in Principles of Hospitality and Tourism at the DECA State Leadership Conference.

Congratulations to all of our student competitors on your accomplishments; we are so proud of you!  And a big thank you to the Chantilly Academy teachers and staff who make these opportunities possible for our students.
