FCPS Family Engagement Survey is Open!

2023-24 Family Engagement Survey

FCPS will administer our third Family Engagement Survey from Sunday, March 3 to Friday, March 22. The survey is designed to gather data for Strategic Plan Pillar B: Vibrant Home, School, and Community Partnerships; and to better recognize, understand, respect, and address family strengths and needs in our schools and community.

Why Families Should Participate

  • By participating in the Family Engagement Survey, parents/guardians are making their voices heard on important topics impacting their students’ success.
  • With family input, the school division will be better suited to develop practices that incorporate their ideas and help focus everyone on their role in improving student outcomes.
  • When schools build strong partnerships with families, respond to their concerns, and honor their contributions, students can experience a range of benefits, including improved school readiness, higher student achievement, better social skills and behavior, and increased likelihood of high school graduation.

Distribution

  • Email invitations with unique survey links will be sent from K12 Insight to all adults who are connected to a student in SIS. Text messages will be sent periodically, particularly to those families who prefer communications in languages other than English.
  • There will also be a public link on the FCPS website for families to access the survey
  • Paper surveys, translated in nine languages, will be available at each school.
