Spring Hill ES Panther Press

A Note from Principal Briggs

Dear Panther Families,

It was another action-packed week! We celebrated Read Across America with author Stuart Gibbs. We dressed up like spies, in honor of his Spy School book series. Many students were able to get their books signed and learn more about his work.

Our week was also filled with musical experiences! From our fabulous fourth grade performance to our amazing band, we were able to enjoy listening and watching their hard work and talent.

Our next Parent University will be held during our PTO meeting on Friday, March 15th at 9am. Jeff Lonnett will present our Portrait of a Graduate program in FCPS and how we are teaching our students valuable skills beyond college graduation.

We are gearing up for all the excitement with our annual fun fair! Please see below information on how you can volunteer.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Amy Briggs

A Message from PTO

March PTO Meeting

Please join us for our next PTO Meeting on Friday, March 15 at 9 AM in the Spring Hill Cafeteria! Following the PTO meeting, we will have our next Parent University presentation. Learn more about our “Portrait of a Graduate” program. Immediately following that, we will start setting up for Fun Fair - if you can, please stay after and help!

Fun Fair 2024 is almost here!

WHEN: Saturday, March 16 from 10 AM to 2 PM

WHERE: Spring Hill Elementary School

WHATFun Fair is one of the most exciting days of the year at Spring Hill Elementary School. Every area of the school becomes part of the fun and games as we transform our school building into a carnival, complete with hours of games, raffles, prizes and so much more!

URGENT!  VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

With just 1 week to go, we only have half the volunteers necessary for a successful Fun Fair! If we don't get more volunteers, we will need to close some games early and shut down other games entirely.

Games at risk that NEED VOLUNTEERS include:

  • Putt-Putt…Pinata Tip…and Fishing Hole - especially beloved by our younger Panthers - will need to close completely if we don’t have volunteers!
  • Soda Toss…Candy Clock…Bean Bag Toss…Plinko…and Candy Wheel…even these crowd favorites will need to close early!

Don't take fun times at Fun Fair away from our kids - click here to volunteer!

* Have a middle or high-schooler looking to fulfill volunteer hours?  Click here - we'd love their help to make Fun Fair 2024 a huge success!
