Arts and Culture Night

 

TC Families,

Thank you to all the families who attended and participated in Arts & Culture Night and the Spring Choral Concert this week. Sincere thanks to our TC specialists and staff for all of their hard work planning and facilitating the event. We enjoyed art from every TC Tiger along with literature, dance, cultural displays, and music. As a reminder, daylight saving time begins this Sunday, March 10, at 2 a.m. Don’t forget to move your clocks ahead one hour!  Terra Centre's Spring Picture Day is Tuesday, March 12, and there is a Family Coffee and PTA meeting on Wednesday, March 13.  Please scroll down for details.

Kiss & Ride Reminder

When entering Kiss & Ride, please follow Marshall Pond Road to Pond Spice Lane to Burke Centre Parkway and follow the entire loop to exit on to Burke Centre Parkway.  Please avoid U-turns at the intersection of Pond Spice Lane and Burke Centre Parkway. We have had several near-miss incidents.

Please join us for Tiger Talk with Admin on Wednesday, March 13 at 5:00 in the cafeteria.  We will be discussing MTSS - Multi-Tiered Systems of Support and how our school uses data to support student academics, behavior, and wellness.

The PTA meeting will follow at 6:00 in the cafeteria.

Spring Book Fair is Coming!

Book Fair Save the Date

Save the date!  Our Spring 2024 Scholastic Book Fair is almost here!  We will be setting up the fair on March 13 and doing previews and wish list creation with all classes between March 14-15.  Sales will run the week of March 18-22.   Family Night will be Thursday, March 21 from 5:30-7:30pm.  Book Fair tear down and clean up will be the afternoon of Friday, March 22. 

We are looking for parents and guardians to help with all these activities. Kindergarten Registration

Do You Have A Rising Kindergartner for the 2024 - 2025 School Year?

Kindergarten registration information is available on the Terra Centre website and the FCPS website. FCPS online registration for the 24-25 school year should be available in March. If you would like to register in person, please contact our registrar, Dee Cunningham at dmcunningham@fcps.edu or 703-249-1400.

Mark your calendar for our Kindergarten Orientation scheduled for Tuesday, April 2nd -  2:00-4:00p.m.

FCPS Family Engagement Survey

FCPS’ Family Engagement Survey is now open through March 22. Survey partner K12 Insight emailed a link to families on March 3 and again on March 6. Please participate! Your feedback is critical in helping to inform and improve FCPS practices to best support our students.

The survey is available in 10 languages. All responses are confidential. Parents/caregivers may stop by the front office to fill out a paper survey or complete the survey online.
