Rose Hill Administrators Help Recruit Teachers

Charm

Last Saturday, the Rose Hill Administrative Team helped to recruit and interview teachers as they came to see what jobs were available within Fairfax County Public Schools. The job fair was held at Lake Braddock Secondary School and there were several hundred candidates that came to see where they might be a best fit. It was a great opportunity to meet new people and share how FCPS is a great place to work!

It’s Kindergarten Registration Time!

Kindergarten

Attending kindergarten provides children with an opportunity to learn and practice the essential social, emotional, problem-solving, and self-regulation skills they will use throughout their lives. Kindergarten Orientation for Rose Hill will be held April 2nd at 1:00pm in school library. Eligible children can also be registered throughout the summer, but registering your child early helps us plan, so that we have the teachers and resources needed on the first day of school.

Prepare for registration by gathering documents and completing forms. We are happy to support families with registration and the transition to kindergarten. For more information in other languages, visit FCPS’ Kindergarten Registration webpage.

FCPS Purple Up!

Purple Up

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is gearing up to honor and celebrate its military-connected youth in April, the Month of the Military Child and on Purple Up! Day! We will be celebrating at Rose Hill ES on April 17th and wearing our PURPLE!

This year, Virginia will celebrate Purple Up! Day on Wednesday, April 17. Purple Up! Day is a special day for communities to come together and wear purple as a visible gesture of support for our military-connected youth and their families. Purple symbolizes the combined colors of all branches of the military.

FCPS Purple Up! t-shirts are available for purchase now through Friday, March 8, 2024 here. The shirts highlight our gratitude and appreciation for our 14,000 military-connected students and their families. #PurpleUpFCPS!

RHES PTA Needs Volunteers for Staff Appreciation Week!

The PTA is looking for awesome volunteers to serve on this year's Staff Appreciation Week Planning Committee. Erin Jacobs has agreed to be the Committee Chair this year, but she will need our help to make sure our teachers and staff know how much we appreciate them!

Staff Appreciation Week (SAW) is May 6-10, 2024. We begin our planning meetings in Mid-March (via Zoom or other virtual platform) and meet 1x/week until SAW begins. Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up*. Thank you!

*If you are unable to be on the SAW Planning Committee, please know that you will still have opportunities to help with the actual SAW Events. Please keep an eye out for communication from PTA Emails, the RHES Community Newsletter, and the RHES PTA facebook page.
