Our school-wide focus on Belonging continues! Our challenge to collect “Little Spots of Belonging” will continue until we reach all our goals. This week we reached our first goal of 200 spots! To celebrate, Mr. Gayl has agreed to do a cheer at the next School Wide Morning Meeting…what a good sport! Ask your child about our focus on Belonging, and also about our next challenge incentive when the students reach 300 spots.
Spring Picture Day will be on Monday, March 11th. To order your child's individual and class pictures, visit www.barksdalestorefront.com. Order Code: 0036778SG
Volunteers Needed: Would you like to volunteer with us on picture day? Please email cjmullin@fcps.edu if you are able to help!

NEW: Silent Auction Opens Online on Monday, 3/4 at 10am!
Based on parent feedback, the Clermont PTA Silent Auction will open online before the Saturday evening event. This will give parents an opportunity to bid/purchase items before the event and allow for parents to participate in the Silent Auction if they are unable to attend the evening event. The online auction will open on Monday, March 4th at 10am. Be on the lookout for an email with more information.
Unable to attend the auction evening event? Register as a bidder by clicking the link below and you can still participate in the online auction.

Revised Mardi Gras Menu for the Silent Auction
UNOs Mardi Gras inspired menu has been very popular with their guests so we are revising our menu for the silent auction! Entrees will now include Jambalaya Pasta, Big Easy Gumbo over Rice Pilaf and Chicken and Cornbread. Back by popular demand are the Chicken Bites that everyone loved last year! We will also have Berry Goat Cheese and the Garden Salad and of course the 50 Pizzas of several varieties. For Dessert, we will have Chocolate and Vanilla Cupcakes and Chocolate Chip Cookies. Gluten Free and Vegetarian Meals available upon request prior to the event.
Sign Up to Volunteer at the Silent Auction
Silent Auction is one week away! We can't make it happen without you and we need lots of volunteers the day of the event.
Set Up for Auction
We have 2 slots: 3:00 to 4:30pm and 4:30pm to 6:00pm. The first shift will do most of the set-up and go home to get ready for the auction. The second shift will come ready for the auction and finish any outstanding items while waiting for guests to arrive.
Bartender Volunteers
Volunteer for the night or for one of the 2 shifts. In the past, we have had parents volunteer and also, parents of previous Clermont students volunteer to mingle with friends and teachers. Volunteer Bartenders receive free admission and can enjoy our Mardi Gras Buffett!
Item Check Out
Our Item Check Out Volunteers complete the check out for items after the auction closes at 9pm.
Clean Up of Auction
Last year, we had lots of people stay and help with the clean-up and we need lots of volunteers to help again. This year, we only have 1 hour for clean-up. Perk is you can pick at leftovers while you do it!

Parents/caregivers will receive the FCPS’ Family Engagement Survey Sunday, March 3, from independent research firm K12 Insight. Please participate — your feedback is critical in helping to inform and improve practices to best support our students.Taking this survey will also help strengthen the partnership between your family and our school. When that partnership is strong, students can experience a range of benefits including improved school readiness, higher student achievement, better social skills and behavior, and an increased likelihood of graduating high school. The survey will take about 10-15 minutes to complete and will be available in 10 languages. Please visit the Family Engagement Survey webpage for more information. Your voice matters!
Registration is now open for several summer camps and learning opportunities offered by Fairfax County Public Schools for all students.
