CELEBRATE GREAT FALLS AUCTION
The annual online Celebrate Great Falls Auction is coming up and will be held from March 11-22! We are currently seeking donations and we need your help! Do you frequent a favorite spa? Consider asking them for a gift card! Are you a shop owner? We would love a sampling of your store or a donated service to auction! Do you own a vacation home? Consider auctioning with us and we will work with you on parameters you are comfortable with. If you have a service, item or experience you would be willing to donate to the auction, please contact GFES PTA Auction Chair, Hana Kong, at hanabkong@gmail.com!
Proceeds from the auction will directly benefit Great Falls Elementary, Colvin Run Elementary, and Forestville Elementary to support technology, arts, music, mindfulness, and more in the classrooms!
Also, be on the lookout for the auction’s most popular items donated by GFES teachers and staff, such as outings with a favorite teacher, pizza parties and more. This year, GFES will also be auctioning off limited spots to include birthday messages for your GFES student on the school’s new digital welcome sign! 100% of these school-donated items will benefit GFES!
Girls on the Run Registration Ends TUES 2/27!
Girls on the Run (GOTR) registration is also now open! GOTR is a running program for girls grades 3rd through 6th, which teaches girls to be strong, healthy and confident. The GOTR season begins on March 7th. Practice will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the GFES track from 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM.

LET ME RUN Registration Ends THU 2/29!
ATTENTION boys grades 3rd through 6th: LET ME RUN, the new and awesome boys running program, is back for spring season! The season begins on March 11th. Practice will be on Mondays and Wednesdays at the GFES track from 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM.

PTA Spirit Event with MOD Pizza Wed, 3/13/24
The next PTA spirit event will be all day on Wednesday, March 13th at MOD Pizza (11642 Plaza America Drive, Reston, VA 20190).
GFES PTA will receive 20% of fundraiser ALL DAY sales. Participate by ordering online using the code MODGIVES20 or by visiting MOD Pizza Reston and showing the fundraiser flyer or mentioning the fundraiser at checkout.

GFES Diversity Showcase Thur, 3/21/24
Come join us for GFES's Diversity Showcase on Thursday March 21st from 6-8pm. Families will get to experience a museum filled with their child's artwork and then work their way into the World's Fair to explore various cultural exhibits.
There will be a face painter, live performances and more!
There will also be food and drinks for purchase.

Bus Driver Appreciation Week
We are so thankful for the wonderful team of drivers that safely shuttle our children to and from school each day! Each bus driver and attendant was given a goody bag and treated to yummy breakfast treats, coffee, and lunch as a way of thanking them for all they do! Thank you so much to everyone who made signs, cards, and/or notes for their bus drivers!
