Celebrating Our Wonderful Counselor

pic

We know National Counseling Week came and went a few weeks ago, but we wanted to take a moment to let our wonderful counseling team know how much they are appreciated. Words can hardly express the gratitude we feel for their dedication, compassion, and unwavering support to our students.

Throughout the week our counseling team were showered with small tokens of appreciation to show just how much we value them. From the sweet treats to the special surprises, we hope they felt a glimpse of the impact they have on our students and community. Thank you!

Principal's Message

Dear KJMS Families,

Congratulations to all of our students who were presented with class recognitions at this week's Quarterly Awards Assembly. Our staff is so proud of the many Eagles who exhibit the SOAR traits each day. It is evident that your support at home ensures that our students have a wonderful learning environment in our school. We also had two great pep rallies this week to ensure all students know how much they are loved and valued at KJMS.

The GMU Men’s Soccer Team was present for the 7th grade pep rally. We wish them luck as they missed Friday’s 8th grade pep rally to play in a soccer game.

Our Orchestra participated in an amazing performance with the Fairfax Pyramid last night. Doing so, they missed the celebration at the Fairfax County School Board meeting, where they and the Bella Canzones were recognized for their November performance at the Virginia Music Educators Conference. Congrats to all of these outstanding performers.

As we have the last days before daylight savings begins, we are excited to see all that spring has in store. What will you do with the gift of an extra day with  our February 29th leap year this year? Maybe that would make a fun dinner conversation.

Enjoy your weekend,

Tammy Silipigni

Principal
