Starch Madness Food Drive
When is it?
- Now through Spring Break (February 26 – March 22)
What Types of Food are we collecting?
- Rice, pasta, cereal, etc.…
GBW has been challenged by our friends at Centreville Elementary to see which school can collect the most food to help combat food insecurity for our families in need. The winning school will win the Starch Madness Trophy shown in picture:). Please help donate starch items (rice, pasta, cereal, etc…). All items can be dropped off in our main lobby.

Let Me Run is a nonprofit wellness program that inspires boys to be themselves, be active, and belong. With a comprehensive curriculum that applies the power of running, the program encourages boys to develop their psychological, emotional, and social health, in addition to their physical health. Twice a week for 7 weeks, trained volunteer coaches lead the team through practice. Designed to amplify confidence, self-expression, and respect for others, each practice includes a lesson from the Let Me Run curriculum that incorporates running, games, and activities. Each season culminates in a 5k race festival that celebrates the boys’ personal growth. Registration at GBW is now open for boys in grades 4th-6th. The Spring season starts on March 11th, meets Mondays and Wednesdays after school until 5:20pm, and ends with a 5k race on Saturday, May 4th. Visit LetMeRun.org to learn more and register. Questions?
