GBE Night is on Thursday, February 22nd at 6-7:30pm featuring family favorite foods, performances, games, activities, and a 360 Photo Booth!
Food trucks such as, Nico's Taco Truck, Momos and More, Kabobmix Food Truck and Char'd will be there.
The library will be available as a sensory friendly quiet space for any family during the event. There will also be student work included in the hallways for families to see!
On Feb 22nd, you can order ahead from Char'd: Instagram Handle: @chardeats. See you there!
*Thursday, February 29th will be the makeup date if there is snow or inclement weather on the scheduled date.

Our monthly Family Workshop will be held on February 28th at 10:00 AM in Trailer 2. Families can join in-person or virtually for any workshop. We will send the Zoom link the day before. Even though, we love to see you in person to enjoy the interaction with our great speakers, Mrs. Eley will send an E-notify message with a YouTube link of the workshop for families if they are unable to attend. The topic is going to be “Peer Pressure”. In effort to provide important information as we continue our partnership as #OneGBE!
Arabic, Spanish, and Turkish interpreters will be available.

Nuestro taller familiar mensual se llevará a cabo el 28 de febrero a las 10:00 a. m. en Trailer 2. Las familias pueden unirse en persona o virtualmente a cualquier taller. Enviaremos el enlace de Zoom el día anterior. Aunque nos encanta verlo en persona para disfrutar de la interacción con nuestros excelentes oradores, la Sra. Eley enviará un mensaje de notificación electrónica con un enlace de YouTube del taller para las familias si no pueden asistir. 🥁 Sign Up for FCPS Summer Camps
Registration is now open for several summer camps and learning opportunities offered by Fairfax County Public Schools for all students.
Career and Technical Education (CTE) camps and Institute for the Arts camps will be held in July at Lake Braddock Secondary School from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bus transportation will be available from select FCPS middle and high schools.
Tech Adventure Camp is available for current grade K-5 students to explore STEAM, culinary, health, trades, and business and marketing areas. E-IFTA is a weekly arts camp for elementary students who love to sing, dance, act, perform, make, and create. Visit the E-IFTA webpage to register.
Today's Attendance rate is 83.2%.
As of today, students enrolled at the beginning of the school year that have missed 10 or fewer days of school are helping us reach our goal of 85% (percentage of students not chronically absent). Thank you for making regular school attendance a priority! We love dancing our way out of the building on Fridays at dismissal when our overall chronic absenteeism rate is below 15%!

Use PickUp Patrol to report absences
In emergencies, email or call the front office
This is a reminder to put your students' absence, arriving late, or leaving school early in Pickup Patrol (PUP). All default plans should be up to date. Make sure you change the default plan anytime you change your students' permanent dismissal. Emails and phone calls are no longer encouraged, except for emergencies. When you enter a change in PUP, it goes directly to your child’s teacher as well as our front office staff. Please remember to provide a reason for the absence, late arrival or early dismissal. Changes must be entered on PUP by 2:30pm each day. If you need assistance setting up your PickUp Patrol account, please reach out to Adriana Barreto at 703-633-6400 or aabarreto@fcps.edu.
